And you can apply many of your adjustments by selecting the image itself and dragging the mouse from one direction to another. For instance, there is no delay when you zoom into your image nor when you apply an adjustment.

And moving from one image to another in the view tab is instantaneous. These may seem like minor points, but having used so many photo editors, I know these seemingly simple attributes are rarer than you think.

In contrast, many of the photo editing tools I review these days are leaning heavily on machine-learned AI-powered features. For a time, many of these AI-powered tools were a little gimmicky. However, AI-powered trickery has turned a corner and in some cases, offers superior alternatives to traditional editing tools. For instance, traditional noise reduction suppresses noise whilst smudging away detail.
