Superhero squad has 13 levels, 2 downloadable villain levels, and about 20 unlockable characters. Hmmm, this game seems a bit lacking. Ok, there is the challenge mode, which provides fun multi-player deathmatch action, ok, thats neat for about a few hours, then the matches get old.

Each character has 3 hero badges to unlock, which either unlocks a new uniform or challenge level but even the challenge levels are basically just new levels with old match games. All in all, I really liked this game, and if you rent it, or buy it used, its totally worth playing. If he were playing alone, he would probably struggle with it.

However, with us playing together it\’s two-player, co-operative , we are making decent progress. The controls are simple enough, each button does a different action, no complex button combinations to achieve anything.

The most difficult thing for my kid is the jumping parts of the game. Because it\’s all 3-D, lining up his character just right gets tricky. He is getting the hang of it, though and luckily, the jumping parts are few and far between. Also, there are some puzzles in the game that are difficult for young kids to grasp. The humor in the game is pretty good, too. It\’s all \”cartoon-y\” violence, so there is no blood, and the bad guys disappear once they are defeated.

Also, your hero characters never die, they just get knocked out. So, you can revive each other during game play. Even if your kid is having a hard time, you can revive him as many times as needed that\’s great for this game Great choice, I\’m glad I bought this.

We have been playing it for months a few times every month and my kid still has fun with this and is interested in it. Report abuse. I bought this game for my 6 year old daughter after playing \”Lego Batman\” with her. She was already a fan of the show and loved the silliness of it all, and she hasn\’t been disappointed yet. While not as clever as the \”Lego Games\” \”SHS\” has it\’s moments and the use of all the different heroes\’ factors Specialties was pretty cool.

Iron man has tech factor that allows him to hack computers with simple puzzles, Hulk has strength factor which allows him to lift objects, and Thor has an energy facotr that allows for elemental abilities. The game is brutal in some parts with unrelenting and cheap attacks. Being able to revive your partner is a plus especially in co-op. All and all another fun game for us to play together.

One person found this helpful. This is a fun game to play with your younger boys. It is not especially difficult game to play for adults. Sound effects and dialogue are lacking. What dialogue that does exist is humorous especially with Thor.

My boys are 6yo and find this game challenging to play. They do enjoy the format and the game play is not excessively violent, no blood or gore but the object is to \”beat up the bad guys\” as my boys would say.

The thing is, during gameplay the characters do not have all the quips and funny one liners that they do on the console.

The game looks ok for a Nintendo DS game, but they really could have done more with the power of the 3DS. I actually think they could have just ported the Wii version and scaled things down a tad and the 3DS would have been able to handle it. However, I have to be honest and say that if you have access to the PS3, Xbox , and to a lesser extent the Nintendo Wii, you are way better off playing the console version of this game.

Although this game is a little short at about 5 hours, it is a fun time while it lasts and does have some decent replay value in that you can replay the levels after you beat the game. GameFabrique The console versions of the game have a fantastic and well produced story that is like an episode of the show that starts with a hilarious mix up in a store with a gift for Thanos. But it was a great game.
