In reply to TimJoK’s post on August 15, The Vaio control center for windows 10 came out today. The touchpad is really crappy but I can’t find any option to disable it I use external mouse.
The keyboard backlit setting is missing used to be within Vaio Control Center. I think some of my problems can somewhat be fixed if I can install Vaio Control Center, which was like the app for all the settings on a Vaio laptop, but I’ve tried all possible drivers that Sony has on their website but none of them work.

This is a driver side problem. Those functions are supported when the manufacturer of the product delivers the right driver. Even if you would have upgraded from Windows 7 those drivers would have very likely been lost in the process. So one can hope that they deliver on a Windows 10 version of the control center.

I understand that it is a tedious process but for the laptop to work properly, it should be done right. Clean install erased all the original drivers of the laptop and you can’t install updates without the original driver.
